PimpZilla 5 in the making!
First of all i would like to thank you all for the feedback you’ve given. It’s really inspiring to know that PimpZilla has such a huge fanbase.
The e-mails you’ve send me have certainly motivated me to start working on an upgrade.
Things have changed a bit since my last post; whereas the emphasis used to lie be on being a Mac (daddy), it’s now on being a Daddy. Two young daughters take up most of my spare time. I hope you understand that i reserved the ample time that i had on a project that actually made a bit of money.
Another reason for the long delay is that i also forgot how to set up a working environment for developing a theme.
Having said that, Money isn’t everything and knowledge can be attained. I am therefore happy to inform you that work has started on PimpZilla 5. It will take me a while to build the thing from the ground up. A complete overhaul is necessary, given the nature of the new sourcecode of Firefox. It will probably be available somewhere in the fall.
The status is that i’ve succesfully set up a working environment, and the fur-leopard skin tabbar more or less functions. Watch this blog for progress-reports!

Great ! I’ve still not found a really satisfying theme since I updated to FF4.
Congratulations and keep up the good work.
One suggestion : in some themes, tabs don’t reach the very top of the screen, which make it less fast to aim. Don’t do this mistake (if I’m not clear: http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/7859/sansre1gz.jpg ).

It’s a clear indicator of my nerdiness that this announcement made me so very happy. I have purposely kept my FF at work out of date so I could continue to use PimpZilla after I updated at home and realized it was no longer supported. Keep up the good work and I eagerly await the fall!

I donated the last time…I’m donating this time…and I’ll donate every time to keep my precious Pimpzilla! I finally upgraded to FF5 from 3.something after delaying it as long as I could because I feared I would lose Pimpzilla. I nearly cried when I did. I know you have a family and I hope you spend great quality time with them, but at the same time…please hurry with Pimpzilla…I can barely stand to look at my screen.

I’m looking forward to the new version as I used Pimpzilla in all previous version of FireFox. I appreciate that you started again to spend some time for the development of the new version although you have to take care of your family. My two daughters are both now over 16. That allows me to use some time for things I like (e.g. playing guitar

Donated! I love pimpzilla, more than I’m really willing to admit to friends and family. Take as much time as you need to make it as pimped out as we are all craving!
Also, re: the commenter above who said they cried when they realized the firefox update didnt support pimpzilla…me too! Firefox is so hideously bland without my leopard spots!

I love theme PimpZilla few years. I am forced to use Firefox 3.5 because this theme still does not work in Firefox 5.0

I was so sad when I upgraded Firefox and lost my pimpin browser theme. It’ll be so awesome to have it available again, and thank you for creating such an awesome design to begin with. You da man!

That’s good news! I’ve been missing my furry, sparkly browser since I finally had to cave and upgrade Firefox, I’d been sticking to 3.5 especially to keep Pimpzilla. That said, family is always more important than a pimped out browser window. Take your time, we’ll be waiting for you when it’s ready.

Congratulations on your two beautiful daughters. I’ve been using the Pimpzilla skin for several years now and I must say I miss it now that I’ve upgraded to Windows 7 and Firefox 5. I hope life treats you well and you are able to continue the awesome work on this theme.

I am so excited for this! And I refuse to install any theme until my Pimpzilla is back. I have been using this theme for…oh, I don’t know how many years…but Firefox is just not the same without it.

I’ve been putting off the Firefox upgrades because 4 and up don’t work with Pimpzilla. I know being a parent is a full-time job–plus you need to earn money on top of that, so I really appreciate your theming efforts.

yay, good news! i’m sure my recent depression which am currently recovering from was caused by using this dull, grey default GUI of moz.6 for a couple of month. can’t wait to get da bling’bling back!

I’ve been waiting for the new Pimpzilla before I downloaded FF 8.0. Oops, I accidentally downloaded it today 8.0 today. I absolutely love Pimpzilla! I downloaded another pimp theme that is super tacky! It’s leather and diamonds, I mean, come on man, that’s no pimp…where’s the FUR! LOL!! Looking forward to the release of the new Pimpzilla! Thank you so much!!!!

Please update Pimpzilla for Firefox 9.0. I refuse to upgrade Firefox till there’s Pimpzilla for 9.0! No other skin looks half as good. Whenever I use Firefox on someone else’s computer, all I can think about is how terrible or strange it looks – simply because it’s not clad in an awesome Pimpzilla coating!!

Gotta upgrade, bye bye PimpZilla, some websites and functions are no longer working with Firefox 3.6.25. I would donate if I knew it was actually going to happen.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY need Pimpzilla in order for my life to function correctly.
PANDORA and some other applications no longer function on the Firefox platform required to use Pimpzilla.
Yet I refuse to browse with any less the best!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE finish Pimpzilla 5! I swear I will kick you down some loot!
